Decorating Ideas for Fall 2022
Fall is my favorite time of year for many reasons. I love the overwhelming scent of pumpkin, the neutral color palettes, and the cozy decor all around. If you’re searching for decorating ideas for Fall 2022, keep scrolling.
Near the beginning of the summer, my boyfriend and I began decluttering our apartment and donating everything that we did not want to move. It took us MONTHS of organizing and multiple trips to the local thrift stores to drop off donations but we have successfully moved our apartment without added fluff.
My lovely boyfriend deemed my knick-knack Target Dollar Spot decor (if you know, you know) as “fluff” (he was right) so, I donated all of my seasonal decor. Surprisingly, I wasn’t too upset about it.
Why? Simply because that just meant that I could begin a NEW round of seasonal decor shopping. That is exactly where I’m at today! I have started my shopping and I’m taking my blogging friends with me.
And, we are going BIIIIG this year. I am in a new setting and have so much more room to work with. I’m gathering all of the decorating ideas for Fall 2022. When decorating for Fall, I usually go with a minimal approach so keep that in mind!
In this post, I’m sharing my decorating ideas for Fall 2022.

Real quick!! I wanted to add a couple FAQs that are common when decorating for Fall.
Can I decorate for Fall with bats?
Bats are typically associated with Halloween so it’s common for people to take down their spooky decorations before the next holiday, Thanksgiving!
How much is “too much” when it comes to decorating for Fall?
I like to apply the same rule to all of my decorating; less is more. Choose decor that doesn’t take up too much space and avoid overlapping decorations in one area.
Should I decorate with real pumpkins or fake pumpkins?
Real or fake, you can’t go wrong with any kind of pumpkin. Keep in mind that a pumpkin will rot over time but that process is usually slower than the actual Fall season!
When can I put out Fall decorations?
Many people stick to the first day of Fall – Thursday, September 22, 2022.
When do I take down Fall decorations?
That is definitely a personal preference. For me, the day after Halloween I will remove any spooky decor and then Black Friday is usually when I begin pulling out the Christmas decor and I will decorate throughout the weekend.
Cream Vases with Burgundy Stems
When decorating for Fall, you can’t go wrong with incorporating a natural-colored vase and burgundy stems. These dual vases are uniquely shaped and perfect for shelf styling, on a console table, or dining room centerpiece.

Grass Wreaths
Decorating with a wreath on the inside is a unique way to bring in more texture to your space. As seen in the photo, adding two wreaths to the inside of the door gives the entryway a touch of Fall while being simply minimalistic.

Cozy Throw Blankets
I’m a super fan of having blankets on display in my living room and bedrooms. Having cozy throw blankets accessible to cuddle up with is vital during those chilly Fall nights, plus they are insanely cute!

Rustic Eucalyptus Garland
The thing about garland… you either love it or you hate it. I’m not sure if you can be in between, but for me, I’m a fan. But, it has to be the right kind. Try adding eucalyptus garland on a console table, mantle, or dining table to keep it light but also incorporating those cozy Fall colors.

Decorative Sherpa Pillows
Sherpa pillows are another cozy way to add warmth and comfort to a living space. When I think of Fall, I think of sherpa! I like to layer up my couch pillows (I am that person) by adding different shaped pillows like a lumbar + rectangle + square along with different textures like linen + sherpa.
