The Coastal Cowgirl aesthetic is taking the Pinterest world by storm. It’s exactly what it sounds like; a straw cowboy hat, cowboy boots, your favorite distressed Levi shorts, and sand all over your freshly tanned skin. In this post, I’m breaking down the Coastal Cowgirl aesthetic and giving you all of the inspiration for creating your own Coastal Cowgirl summer.

The Coastal Cowgirl Aesthetic Handbook
We are all LIVING for this Coastal Cowgirl Aesthetic. It’s giving me Paige Lorenze vibes (she’s a city girl living out her days on a cute & quaint piece of land in the country) and it’s captivating to watch. She’s living a real-life Lifetime movie script. Nonetheless, she inspired this post and I enjoy her sense of style!
Who created the Coastal Cowgirl trend?
All trails lead back to the creative mind of Alicia at Whiskey South Design Co, the creator of Shop Coastal Cowboy. She has encapsulated the freebird, beachy aesthetic and created the most stunning brand and aesthetic. It's such a nostalgic breath of fresh air and it's everything we could ever dream of for this trend.Â
I first discovered the trend of the Coastal Cowgirl aesthetic on TikTok. I instantly swiped out of the app and headed to my first true love, Pinterest. I was able to source SO much inspiration for this beachy, effortless aesthetic instantly. Literally. It took me like 3 minutes to whip up a Coastal Cowgirl board. I’m in love!!
I’m originally from Dallas so I grew up horseback riding and spending my days at the local equestrian center with my friends. I’ve always admired the Ralph Lauren, the riding boots, and the dusty environment of a horse track. It’s a complete experience!
What is the Coastal Cowgirl Aesthetic?
As any trend goes, it’s exactly what you make it. Fashion-wise, it’s an effortless, beachy style with a touch of country love.
The Coastal Cowgirl aesthetic is a melting pot of textures like eyelet fabrics, cute ruffles, and silky satins. Along with the rough textures like lived-in denim, weathered cowboy boots, and chalky sand.Â
Following a trend like this is all about putting your own personality into it. There will always be room for your own touch!
I’m sharing all of my inspiration for the summery Coastal Cowgirl aesthetic below. You will see a mix of photo inspiration, outfit ideas, and anything that encapsulates the beachy cowgirl vibe.
