It’s costume time! There's nothing I love more than dressing up. Whether it's for a date night, an event, a day in the city, a costume party... ANYTHING! I especially love a good old fashioned Halloween costume party.

Contrary to popular belief when it comes to Halloween content, I actually don't really enjoy the holiday. I just like the dressing up and the coziness of fall settling in. The other (scary) aspects of the spooky holiday are just not my cup of tea.

I don't like being scared and I don't enjoy the gore in the slightest. That's why you'll catch me in fun, girly, and cute costumes!

Why pop culture costumes? If you are like me, you love a doppelganger moment. My humor is easily activated when I see ANY impressions, SNL portrayals, or funny (lighthearted) imitations of celebs.

Today's post was inspired by my 2 month binge watching journey with everyone's favorite reality show, Vanderpump Rules.

To keep this in a Cliff Notes version, I kept seeing the "Scandoval" everywhere and was feeling a bit of fomo from not having seen a single episode. I quickly picked it up and it took me 2 months to watch it start to finish. I noticed how the evolution of fashion worked with the cast and clung to the idea of recreating some of the interesting looks.

Instead of a full blown VPR outfit post, because that would take me years, I decided to sprinkle in ONE controversial person's outfit amongst some other girlies of the pop culture moment.

We consume pop culture on the daily. It's in our faces constantly and it influences our daily lives. If it's a TV show we love, we make a routine around it so we never miss an episode. If it's an influencer we enjoy, we follow them and trust their recommendations. IF it's an actress, we religiously watch their best films for a feel-good moment.
